Mariana is a creator, producer, exhibitor, distributor and film programmer. Opinion writer and researcher of topics related to cinema, culture and cultural manager. His career is recognized nationally and internationally, over thirty years of sustained and uninterrupted work. He has stood out in the different links of the film industry such as creation, production, research, exhibition, distribution, teaching and cultural management for cinematography and the field of arts and culture.  It has also produced important film festivals in Ecuador and is the general producer of the Colibrí Awards for the best of Ecuadorian cinema. 

She is currently the General Director of OCHOYMEDIO, the first independent film complex in Ecuador. She held the position of Secretary of Culture of the Metropolitan District of Quito.
