PRODUCER AND DIRECTOR

SHORT PROFILE  -  LUIS PACHECO - DIRECTOR/PRODUCER.

CEO of the Jaguar Films production house in Panama City founded in 1995 – and Jaguar Films Colombia SAS, Producer and Director with more than 30 years of experience in the audiovisual medium, President and Founder of the Panamanian Film Association, President of EGEDA Panama , and Delegate for Panama before the Ibero-American Federation of Film and Audiovisual Producers, FIPCA.

In 2002, he founded the Panamanian Film Association with the aim of promoting the Panamanian Film Industry. He initiates the negotiations to reincorporate the Republic of Panama before the Conference of Audiovisual and Cinematographic Authorities of Ibero-America CACI and the IBERMEDIA Program, a management that he achieves before the CACI that same year in Portugal.   Served as Film Authority of the Republic of Panama from 2004 to 2007 in meetings held in Spain, Portugal, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, among others.  During those years he drafted and managed the Panamanian Film Law, and the Panamanian National Film Development Fund.  In 2007 Organizes the Tenth Meeting of the IBERMEDIA Program and the Seventeenth Meeting of the Conference of Audiovisual and Cinematographic Authorities of Ibero-America CACI.

In 1995, he founded the Jaguar Films production house in Panama City, which has become one of the main production houses in the country, with production and filming infrastructure of the latest technology HD RED/ HELIUM 8K, Trucks with Lights and Grip, Post-production room HD 4K and 2K, and DA VINCI color system, Animation and Audio, with more than 1,600 commercials produced, 60 episodes for television, international production services for projects such as NARCOS, SURVIVOR , AMAZING RACE and PARADICE LOST with Benicio del Toro and Josh Husherton.  He has Directed, Produced and Co-produced 17 feature films and documentaries to date:  

FESTIVALS AND AWARDS Several of his films in the process of development were selected for the Co-production forums of the Huelva, San Sebastián, Guadalajara and Cartagena Film Festivals, the co-production LOS COLORES DE LA MONTAÑA, winner of a large number of festivals around the world including the prestigious Kutxa at the San Sebastian Film Festival. Likewise, several of the productions have obtained nominations and awards for best film at various festivals around the world. His latest film, OPERACIÓN CAUSA JUSTA, was selected by Panama to represent the country at the OSCAR and GOYA awards, currently acquired by the NETFLIX platform.
